Two Cited in Recent Shots Fired Investigation in Marion

MARION – Two men are awaiting their day in Williamson County Court after they were recently cited and taken to jail in a recent shots fired investigation in Marion.

According to Marion Police, last Thursday the police department received a 911 call relative to “shots fired” at the Quality Inn on West Main Street.

Upon arrival the reporting party said that they saw a male subject standing near the window of a specific room, holding a firearm.

Officers responded to the mentioned hotel room and could hear several people talking and laughing inside the room. Officers knocked and announced their presence, and the room became silent. Occupants inside the room eventually opened the door, and four subjects were detained without incident, for safety reasons.

During the contact 33-year-old James M. Pifer was interviewed and admitted to possessing a firearm and discharging it from the hotel room, out the window. Officers located and seized a semi-automatic firearm, ammunition, and spent shell casings.  It was also learned through involved party statements that 25-year-old Primtivo Bermudez-Antonia also was in possession of the firearm.

Both men were issued citations for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and conveyed to the Williamson County Jail, awaiting their first appearance in court.
