FAIRFIELD (WMIX) – A 59-year-old Fairfield man was sentenced Monday in Wayne County Court to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to one of three Class X felony meth-related charges against him.

Jesse Owen was facing three Class X felony charges – one for delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of methamphetamine, one for delivery of more than 900 grams of meth, and one for possession of more than 900 grams of meth.

He pleaded guilty Monday to delivery of more than 900 grams of meth in exchange for the other two charges being dismissed.

According to reports, after receiving a tip and conducting a brief investigation, Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies located large quantities and cash in Owen’s home.

Owen was given credit for 87 days served in the Wayne County Jail where he’s remained since his October arrest with bond set at $250,000.
