Benton Police Report

BENTON – The Benton Police Department released the following information on Friday, May 13, 2022.

On May 6th, 2022 Benton Police arrested Jeremy Roberson, age 43, of Benton on multiple Franklin County warrants for burglary, theft, and failure to appear.  Roberson was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On May 12th, 2022, Benton Police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Washington Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Through investigation, police arrested Daniel L. Tatum, age 55, of Benton on an active Franklin County warrant for failure to appear. Tatum was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On May 12th, 2022, Benton Police were dispatched to the 200 block of the public square in reference to a suspect making threats with a knife. Through investigation, the suspect was identified as Frank L. Humphrey, age 42, of Benton. Humphrey was charged with aggravated assault and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On May 12th, 2022, Benton Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Election Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Through investigation, police arrested Joshua C. Sims, age 30, of Benton for criminal trespass and resisting a peace officer. Sims was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
