BENTON (WQRL/WISH/WMCL) – A Benton man is facing gun and drug charges after Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home near Valier for a report of a suspect with a firearm around 1:20 Monday morning.

According to Sheriff Kyle Bacon, deputies arrived and made contact with 39-year-old Joshua N. Arnold.

During the investigation, deputies located a loaded firearm and a safe containing illegal drugs.

Arnold was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Franklin County Jail where he is being held on charges of Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and Felony Possession of Cannabis.
