PADUCAH – The U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge, between Paducah and Brookport, reopened Wednesday afternoon after being closed due to ice on the metal decking.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet office in Paducah, with a temperature of 26 degrees and help from some sunshine, ice that accumulated on the bridge melted to allow the bridge to reopen around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.
