
MARION – Marion Police have arrested and charged a Carbondale man for selling tobacco/nicotine products to minors.
According to Marion Police, after receiving multiple complaints of Marion Tobacco and Vape selling Tobacco and/or Nicotine Products to patrons under the age of 21, police opened an investigation into the complaints.
Throughout the investigation, it was determined that at least one clerk was selling tobacco/nicotine products to underage people. Police secured a search warrant for Marion Tobacco and Vape located on Williamson County Parkway.
During the search warrant, police seized 1,936 containers of nicotine liquids, 604 disposable electronic nicotine devices, 26 electronic nicotine devices, 564 nicotine “pods,” and 164 other miscellaneous nicotine products. The estimated value of the seized items is $62,164.68.
Police arrested 20-year-old Salah R. Albanna of Carbondale, IL. Albanna has been charged with Underage Sale of Tobacco Products and Failure to Identify Prior to Sale of Tobacco Products.
