CARMI – Carmi Police want you to know that several streets will be blocked for Saturday’s Color Run to benefit students at Carmi White County’s Jefferson Attendance Center. Jefferson Attendance Center will sponsor the event in partnership with Huck’s.

According to Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter, The Color Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will affect Plum Street, Paint Creek Lane, Iris Lane, Cameo Lane, Holly Lane, Newport Lane, Bohleber Drive, Abelson Drive, College Boulevard and Montgomery Circle.

All streets intersecting the run route will be blocked beginning at 8:30 a.m. until such time as it is safe to allow normal traffic to resume.

All intersections will be manned by Carmi Police and Auxiliary Officers, and JAC volunteers who will assist in ensuring safety during this event.

You are encouraged to be aware of this temporary restriction of streets intersecting the run route and to adjust travel plans accordingly.
