Barbara Jean Forsythe, age 80, of Benton, passed away at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery of Benton, IL, with Jim Muir officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. The Leffler Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the services.
