ZEIGLER – The Illinois State Fire Marshal’s office and MABAS-Illinois has awarded a grant to the Zeigler Fire Department for a new Drager 4 gas monitor.
According to a Zeigler Fire social media post, this piece of equipment is portable and will allow firefighters to monitor and detect flammable gases/vapors, carbon monoxide, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide and sulfer dioxide levels on calls. It will also help firefighters and citizens to safely operate in potentially dangerous situations.
