WEST FRANKFORT – Peter “Pete” Michael Paplomatas, 67, of West Frankfort passed away Friday October 17, 2025, at his residence at 6:29 p.m.

Pete was born June 27, 1958, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to Peter A. and Darlene (Haas) Paplomatas. He loved his family and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Diana Kuhl.

Pete is survived by his loving companion and partner of 23 years, Debbie Huite Hughes, and family; three sons: Peter “Pete” (Holly) Paplomatas, Christopher (Chloe) Paplomatas, and Anthony Paplomatas; sisters: Lynn Saratore (Steve), Connie Kostick, and Karen Paplomatas; grandchildren: Luke, Liam, Cameron, Cloei, and Hunter; and his loving and faithful cat, Callie Rose.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
