REEVESVILLE – A man didn’t cooperate with law enforcement in Johnson County over the weekend when they arrived at his home with a court order to take him into custody and take him for a mandatory mental health evaluation.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says with assistance from the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System SWAT team, a search warrant was executed for the man in Reevesville.

When they arrived at his home, the man refused to come out, so SWAT was forced to use non-lethal tactics to force him out and into custody.

The man suffered a self-inflicted non-life threatening wound. His name was not released.
