BENTON – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.

8-19-24 Richard L. Grove, age 47, of Royalton was arrested for two counts of threatening a public official, aggravated assault, obstructing a Peace Officer and resisting a Peace Officer.

8-20-24 Richard J. James, age 61, of West Frankfort was arrested for aggravated assault, domestic battery and criminal damage to property. 

8-20-24 Destiny McFarlane, age 46, of Zeigler was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

8-21-24 Chad A. Kramer, age 52, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

8-21-24 Adawnya D. Solomon, age 31, of Elizabethtown, IL, was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver.

8-21-24 Jennifer A. Thompson, age 44, of West Frankfort was issued a traffic citation for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

8-24-24 Basil R. Killion, age 32, of West Frankfort was issued a traffic citation for failure to notify police of an accident.

8-26-24 Angela L. Byrley, age 54, of Buckner was issued traffic citations for driving while license suspended and failure to signal. 

WARRANT ARRESTS 

8-19-24 Shawn R. McConnaughy, age 32, of Carterville. Failure to appear for criminal trespass.

8-21-24 Christopher R. Brinkmeier, age 51, of Benton. Wayne County warrant for aggravated home repair fraud.

8-22-24 Mia M. Hutchcraft, age 20, of Benton. Failure to appear for speeding (35 mph or more over the posted speed limit).

8-22-24 Ryan D. Wallace, age 43, of West Frankfort. Williamson County failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine. 

8-23-24 Robert L. Smith, age 61, of Murphysboro. Failure to appear for violation of an order of protection.

8-23-24 Cody J. Parks, age 34, of Marion. Burglary and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
