MARION – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after meth and stolen credit cards were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop Monday night in the 11000 block of Skyline Drive in Marion.

Eric F. Gibbs was cited for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Another’s Credit Cards and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Williamson County Jail.

Deputies knew Gibbs from prior encounters and knew he had an active Williamson County arrest warrant for Failure to Appear for Criminal Damage to Property. He was also known to be the suspect in a separate incident involving the theft of credit cards and was driving the same vehicle used during that incident.

Gibbs was taken into custody on the warrant at the traffic stop. Deputies conducted a search incident to arrest and found a clear glass pipe commonly used to ingest meth on his person. A lawful search of the vehicle was also conducted with deputies finding meth in a clear plastic bag  and credit cards belong to the victim of the theft in the driver’s side door.
