CARTERVILLE – A major expansion project is underway at the Carterville Fire Department and it will be under construction for the foreseeable future.

In order to make room for the new addition, the north parking lot will be closed for the expansion. It will include two new double ambulance bays to better accommodate the fire department’s growing fleet and an EMS Training Room to enhance the skills and readiness of the department’s first responders.
The fire department thanks the Harrison-Bruce Foundation for investing in the safety and well-being of the Carterville community. The foundation’s support is making this vital project possible.
