CARBONDALE – With spring on the horizon, shared Veo electric scooters will return to Carbondale and Southern Illinois University Saturday.
Veo operates a fleet of 450 Astro standing scooters and Cosmo seated scooters in the community and the city is eager to have these accessible modes of transportation returning. Below you will find information from VEO on how to ride, as well as some do’s and don’ts.
How to Ride

Find your ride: Riders aged 18+ can locate vehicles using the free Veo app. https://www.veoride.com/

Unlock and go: Using the Veo app, riders scan a QR code and pay $1 to unlock the vehicle. Riders then pay $0.39/min to ride

End your ride: Upon completion of the ride, riders must park their vehicle upright. Vehicles should be parked in a corral or bike rack when possible, or on the perimeter of the sidewalk outside of the pedestrian right of way. Riders must take a photo within the app to confirm proper parking.
Spring promo: Riders can get $5 in free credit with the promo code SPRING25 through April 30.
