According to the sheriff’s office, Curtis L. Crumb Jr. was cited for Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Battery, and Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

Just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, deputies were making their way to Road Ranger and learned from the reporting parting that Crumb had a firearm and had fled the scene. The reporting party provided a description of the vehicle and partial registration information.

Deputies, assisted by a Marion Police officer, saw the suspect vehicle going north on Interstate 57 near milepost 56 and conducted a felony stop.

Deputies arriving at the Road Ranger spoke to an employee who stated that he saw an argument between two females and a male in the Wendy’s lobby area.

The employee said he told all subjects to leave and they went outside to their vehicles.

A short time later, the employee observed the same individuals come back inside and heard them arguing.

The employee saw Crumb with his shirt pulled up in front of his waist and a female state “he pulled a gun.” The male subject then exited the store.

The female victims stated they were in line at Wendy’s when Crumb bumped into one of them. Crumb was confrontational and kept hovering over the female and arguing.

An employee broke up the fight and Crumb went outside to his vehicle.

A second female victim stated she went to the gas station side to purchase a pizza when Crumb walked back into the store, with a silver pistol in his left pocket. He approached the two females and began yelling at them.

Crumb displayed the firearm by pulling up his shirt and bumped into the first female again and continued to be confrontational by arguing and making contact.

The gas station employee told Crumb he was calling the police and he left the gas station.

Crumb admitted to being in an argument with two females at the gas station, but denied having a firearm.

Crumb was detained and his vehicle was searched due to visible cannabis in the vehicle.

During the search, deputies located the visible cannabis but did not locate a firearm.

Crumb was then cited for the offenses we mentioned earlier in this story and taken to jail.
