MURPHYSBORO – A Nashville, Tennessee resident has been arrested on two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault of a Minor – both Class 1 felonies – stemming from an April 2022 investigation by Carterville Police into an incident of alleged sexual abuse of a minor.

The Jackson County State’s Attorney’s office announced Wednesday that through the course of the investigation, Carterville Police along with the assistance of the Carbondale Police Department and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate evidence that supported the allegation against 31-year-old Nikko D. Glasper. The investigation was turned over to both the Williamson County and Jackson County State’s Attorney’s offices.

On March 5 of this year, Nashville, Tennessee, Police arrested Glasper in Nashville, following the issuance of a Williamson County, Illinois warrant. Glasper was taken to the Williamson County Jail and was served with a Jackson County warrant on March 18 of this year.

Glasper is scheduled to appear in front of a Williamson County judge for a pretrial hearing on June 3. He will appear in before a Jackson County judge for a case management conference on Oct. 25.
