CARMI – The Jefferson Attendance Center in Carmi, in partnership with Huck’s, will sponsor a Color Run Saturday to benefit students at the center.

The Color Run will start at 8:30 a.m. and Carmi Police say it will affect the following streets: Sycamore Street from 4th Street to County Road 1000 East and all intersecting streets, Stewart Street from Illinois to County Road 1000 East and all intersecting streets.

As part of the Color Run, there will be Color Stations set up along the run route. All streets intersecting the run route will be blocked at 8:30 a.m. until such time as it is safe to allow normal vehicle traffic to resume.

All intersections will be manned with Carmi Police officers, Carmi Auxiliary officers, White County Sheriff’s deputies, and Jefferson Attendance Center volunteers who will assist in ensuring safety during this event.

The public is encouraged to be aware of this temporary restriction of streets intersecting the run route and to adjust travel plans accordingly.
