CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a business recently in the 100 block of West Jackson Street.

Police say officers responded to the business in the 100 block of West Jackson Street around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18 and learned the suspect, described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark colored hoodie and a black face mask, entered the business and displayed what appeared to be a firearm concealed in his waistband. The suspect obtained property and left the business.

During the course of the investigation, officers located the suspect on video. The suspect is seen entering the business at 4:40 p.m. and leaving at 4:43 p.m. He was last seen running north on North Illinois Avenue away from the business. 

While not apparent in the image, the suspect removed the hoodie and was believed to be wearing a red t-shirt. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The investigation is currently active and ongoing.
