
HERRIN – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after methamphetamine was found in the vehicle he was driving following a traffic stop Sunday night in Herrin.
Deputies stopped Eric W. Aderholt after they saw him commit several traffic violations near the intersection of 13th and Poplar streets in Herrin.
A K9 was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle which provided a positive alert to the odor of narcotics.
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which located a clear plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance that later field tested positive for meth.
Aderholt was arrested and cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, and Disobey Stop Sign.
Aderholt was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
