METROPOLIS – The Metropolis Police Department released the following information on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024.

Jan. 29, 2024

Metropolis officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Devers Road. Upon arrival, officers observed evidence of a struggle. Both parties stated that they were struck and injured by the other. After investigation, Brock E. Bailey, 30, of Metropolis was arrested for Domestic Battery. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center. The Massac County State’s Attorney’s Office will decide whether charges will be filed on the other party. 

Jan. 31, 2024

A Metropolis officer observed David M. Littlemeyer, 39, of Metropolis in the 500 block of East 12th. The officer was aware that Littlemeyer was wanted on warrants. The warrants were issued by Massac County for Fleeing and Eluding Police and Driving while License Suspended/Revoked. Littlemeyer was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Feb. 1, 2024

A Metropolis officer on patrol observed a blue Nissan pick-up truck proceeding on West 10th Street. The officer recognized the driver, Aimee M. Cochrane, 38, of Paducah, KY, and knew that she had a suspended drivers license. A traffic stop was conducted and a computer check confirmed that her license was still suspended. She was arrested and released on a notice to appear after being processed.
