MARION – A woman was cited for a recent residential burglary in Williamson County.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Adeana S. Montgomery was cited for Residential Burglary on Wednesday, Dec. 6 and taken to the Williamson County Jail.

The sheriff office says deputies responded to the 3000 block of Illinois 166 in Creal Springs around 6:20 p.m. on Dec. 6 in reference to a residential burglary in progress.

The homeowner, who was not at home at the time of the incident, said that he saw someone on his home security cameras making entry into his home.

Upon arrival deputies located a wheel barrel containing items belonging to the homeowner at the front of the home.

On the north side of the home, deputies discovered a side by side. On the south side of the home,  a female was located lying face down under the front porch of the house. She was identified as Adeana S. Montgomery. Montgomery stated it was her second time at the home and that she planned to take the homeowner’s side by side to Creal Springs.

Montgomery was then cited for the offense we mentioned earlier and taken to jail.
