MT. VERNON – A 53-year-old Mt. Vernon woman was airlifted Saturday afternoon from the scene of a single vehicle ATV crash just north of Mt. Vernon.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, Kristie Morgan was traveling too fast when she turned from Toll Road onto East Green Road, which caused her ATV to roll over and throw her from the vehicle.

A medical helicopter landed near the scene and Morgan was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Mt. Vernon for treatment of injuries.
