MCLEANSBORO – Hamilton County Sheriff Tracy Lakin is warning residents about a scam.

Sheriff Lakin says anyone receiving a call for any reason from an individual identifying himself as Deputy Woods with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office should hang up.

The sheriff says there is no person by this name associated or employed with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
