MARION – Williamson County Treasurer Ashley Gott says tax bills have now been calculated and printing of bills has begun. So do you know what that means? Tax bills will be mailed out Friday.
Gott says the two installment payment dates will be on Monday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Nov. 30. The office will begin accepting payments Monday.
Payments may be made in person or through the drive-up at the Administrative Building, located at 407 N. Monroe in Marion, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Acceptable in office payments are checks, cash, credit/debit cards, and other certified funds.
The Treasurer’s office can’t accept debit cards at the drive-up. Drive up transactions are limited to 10 tax bills per vehicle. This will be strictly enforced. You can drop off your payment after hours in the night drop box located on the west side of the Administrative Building
You may also make payments at all Williamson County banks except Fifth Third Bank and Wood Forest Bank.
Payments can be mailed to Williamson County Treasurer, 407 N. Monroe, Suite 104, Marion, IL 62959. Postmarks will be honored as the payment date through Nov. 30.
Pay online utilizing our online payment system at https://www.williamsoncountyil.gov/county-treasurer-2/. The online system accepts credit/debit cards, e-checks, PayPal, and PayPal Credit. You can also pay by phone by calling 1-618-342-8470 and follow the prompts.

Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, PayPal Credit have a 2.45% convenience fee (3rd party) per completed transaction. E-check has a flat $1 convenience fee (3rd party) per completed transaction.
Late penalties for each installment are 1.5% per month or any part of a month effective on the first day following each due date. Parts or fractions of a month may be considered a whole month. (35 ILCS 200/21-15)
