MARION – Williamson County Clerk Amanda Barnes says new voter registration cards will be mailed out this month for all registered voters in Williamson County.
Barnes says when you receive your new voter’s registration card, please pay attention to your polling place as several have changed due to the consolidation of some precincts.
If you do not receive a card and believe you are registered to vote, Barnes says to please call 618-998-2112 or visit www.williamsoncountyil.gov and click on “check my registration” to verify that you are a registered voter.
The new voter card will replace all those previously issued and will include the voter’s name, address, mailing address, township, precinct, polling place and units of government for which you are entitled to vote.
Barnes urges voters to check their voter’s card and familiarize themselves with their voting districts (this should match your tax bill) and polling place where you will vote on election day. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call the county clerk’s office at 618-998-2112.
The next elections will be the General Primary Election on March 19, 2024 and the General Election on Nov. 5, 2024.
You do not need to mail these cards back unless you have had a change of address within the county then you can complete the back of the card and return it to my office.
In order to assist the County Clerk’s Office in keeping their registration files updated, Barnes is asking that any voter’s card received for a person no longer residing in the household be returned to the County Clerk’s Office with any information on the individual.
