MARION – The Marion City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday night at 6 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center on Tower Square.

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the 1st Project Plan to the Marion STAR Bond District. This deals with the former Illinois Star Centre Mall property and other tracts of land in and near the mall area.

Then there will be discussion and possible approval of an ordinance approving the 1st Project Plan to the Marion STAR Bond District.

The meeting is open to the public.
