SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – A water main break on the Rend Lake Conservancy District line recently forced some communities around our area to issue boil water orders. The line has been repaired, but boil water orders are still in effect until further notice for West City, Zeigler, Christopher, Sesser and Du Quoin.

The Benton Water Department says a limited boil water order is in effect until further notice for the area of Wastena, Wilson and Eads Street.
