CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are looking for a subject involved in an early Saturday morning shooting.

Police say at 2:40 a.m., responded to a report of shots fired around the 700 block of East Grand Avenue. Officers arrived in the area but found no evidence of shots fired. Minutes later, officers received a report from the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in reference to a person arriving in a personal vehicle at the emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries resulting from gunshots.

During the investigation, officers learned that an unknown suspect shot the victim while in the parking lot of a business in the 700 block of East Grand Avenue. The suspect is believed to have entered a small red car which was last seen traveling east on East Grand Avenue. It is believed that the incident involved known acquaintances. There is not any suspect information to provide. The investigation is active and ongoing.
