MARION – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Friday concluded a 10-day sex offender compliance operation which included a full accountability of all registered sex offenders in Williamson County.

Sheriff Jeff Diederich says this operation resulted in the arrest warrants issued for 36 people charged with violating the Sex Offender Registration Act, a class 3 felony.

The sheriff says he deployed nearly two dozen deputies and investigators charged with making site visits to the registered addresses of both offender’s homes and work to verify timely and accurate registration compliance. As a result, non-compliance arrest warrants were issued.
