MARION – The City of Marion’s Spring Clean-Up begins Monday and runs through April 28.

Sections for the Clean-Up will be divided from Court Street and Main Street.

City crews will canvas the southeast section on Monday and Tuesday. The northeast section will be canvassed Wednesday  and Thursday. The east section will be recanvased on Friday.

The northwest section will be canvassed Monday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 25. The southwest section will be canvassed Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 27. The west section will be recanvased Friday, April 28.

Limbs must be separated and tied and measure no more than 6 feet long or 2 inches in diameter. All items need to be bagged or boxed. All bags must be set on the street side the day preceding the pick-up for the designated area. Weight of items shall not exceed more than two men can handle. The city will pick up construction, furniture and appliances. No tires, TVs, electronics, roofing, materials, paint, paint cans, insecticides or used oil will be picked up. There will be no return pick-ups. There will be no pick-ups by appointment.
