MT. VERNON – Mt. Vernon Police made three arrests over the weekend involving methamphetamine and fentanyl.

According to jail records, 30-year-old Grant Sitas and 35-year-old Monique Calhoon, both of Mt. Vernon, were arrested Sunday.

Sitas and Calhoon were both taken to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of Aggravated Delivery of between 5 and 15 grams of Meth from a Protected Structure, Possession with the Intent to Deliver between 1 and 15 grams of fentanyl, and Resisting or Obstructing a Police Officer. Calhoon was also arrested on a charge of possessing a controlled substance.

Both remain in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bond.

Bond was already set at $100,000 for a 52-year-old Mt. Vernon man arrested Friday by Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies.

John McCowen was arrested on three separate counts of meth delivery and taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he remains.
