SPRINGFIELD – State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) participated in a press conference on Wednesday with the Illinois State Rifle Association and House Republican colleagues, to urge Attorney General Kwame Raoul and Governor J.B. Pritzker to provide more clarity to law-abiding gun owners concerning their Second Amendment freedom.

On Friday, March 3, Macon County Circuit Court Judge Rodney Forbes ruled the firearm ban signed into law by Governor Pritzker to be unconstitutional.  

Lawmakers are requesting the Attorney General and Governor to provide more clarity concerning the recent ruling by informing law-abiding gun owners whether or not the Attorney General plans to continue enforcing the firearm ban ruled unconstitutional by an Illinois circuit court judge.
