Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Awarded Grant to Buy New Squad Cars

MARION – The Harrison–Bruce Foundation has awarded the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office a grant to purchase three new fully equipped squad cars.

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick would like to thank the Harrison–Bruce Foundation for the grant.

Sheriff Vick says their fleet is aging fast and several vehicles have over 100,000 miles on them. This grant will relieve the burden and allow the sheriff’s office to update some of the aging fleet, according to the sheriff.

This grant will allow the sheriff’s office to buy three new 2021 Ford Explorers along with the equipment that goes inside of them. This will allow officers to respond to calls in a much more efficient and safe manner.

The sheriff says this purchase would not be possible without the generous donation from the Harrison – Bruce Foundation and we cannot thank them enough.

The sheriff’s office has ordered the new squad cars and are hoping to have them in service sometime in late July of this year.
