Weather-related closings, cancellations or delays for Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. Check back often for updates.

Schools:

Ashley Grade School – Closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021

Benton Consolidated High School – BCHS will be fully remote Tuesday, Feb. 16. Tuesday is an “A” day. Please be sure to check your Google Classroom pages for assignments and complete attendance by 1 p.m. Faculty and staff are available via email between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Benton #47 will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 due to inclement weather.

Bethel School will be remote on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Due to weather conditions, all Carmi-White County Unit #5 schools will be closed for face-to-face instruction on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Remote Instruction will be utilized for tomorrow. Students may log into their Google accounts to communicate with their teacher or teachers. Our youngest students have had instructional packets sent home with them previously. Any Unit #5 students wanting meals for tomorrow should pick them up at the Junior/Senior High School back parking lot between 9:30 and 10 a.m. in the morning.

Carterville Unit 5 will have a Remote/eLearning Day Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

No school at Christ Our Rock in Centralia on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Christopher USD No. 99 will not have school on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Meals will not be available.

Crab Orchard CUSD #3 will be E-Learning on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Du Quoin CUSD 300 schools will be closed for in-person school on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 and Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. We will conduct Remote Learning Days on these dates.

Field School in Texico –  eLearning Day #5 Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Hamilton County Unit 10 closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. Daycare will also be closed.

Herrin CUSD #4 will utilize an E-Learning day Tuesday, Feb. 16. Lunches can be picked up from Herrin High School’s main south entrance between 10 and 10:30 a.m.

All John A. Logan College courses will move to remote instruction for the date of Tuesday, Feb. 16. Students, check D2L for specific instructions from instructors. All campus activities are canceled, and office staff will move to remote operations for Feb. 16.

Johnston City will have a full Remote/E-Learning day on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Kaskaskia College’s main campus in Centralia and all education centers will be closed for Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, and all classes and events are canceled. Students should check their canvas shells for updates on assignments from their faculty.”

Marion Unit 2 will not conduct in-person learning on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. It is a full remote learning day. Lunches at Marion Jr. High from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. West doors.

Mt. Vernon Alternative Learning Center will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

MVTHS 201 will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16. This is a good, old fashioned snow day. The regular meeting of the Board of Education has been rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

Project ECHO and STARQuest Academy will be closed due to inclement weather on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

ROE 13 Alternative Learning Academy students will be on REMOTE Learning on Tuesday, Feb. 16. (No in-person learning Tuesday).

Rend Lake College is going remote for classes and workdays through Friday. Campuses will be closed.

Rome Grade School is closed for a snow day Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

St. Mary School and EDC will be closed Tuesday for a snow day.

Sesser-Valier #196 will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, due to inclement weather/conditions.

Due to winter weather conditions, Southeast Missouri State University campuses in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff and Kennett will be closed Feb. 16. If at all possible, the University encourages faculty to conduct virtual instruction on Tuesday, Feb. 16 with regularly scheduled classes and for students to engage in these virtual learning opportunities. Southeastern Illinois College will move to a remote schedule for Tuesday, Feb. 16. The Mary Jo Oldham Center for Child study will be closed, and all campus activities are canceled. The Board of Trustees will proceed with its in-person meeting as previously advertised to the public. The meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube (www.youtube.com/user/SoutheasternIllinois) or recorded and posted soon thereafter as is allowable. A notice regarding this technical choice will be posted on www.sic.edu.

Due to inclement weather, SIU Carbondale classes will be canceled and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16. This will be an administrative closure. Visit siu.edu for updates.

Spring Garden CCSD 178 will be using an eLearning day on Tuesday, Feb. 16. There will be no in-person learning.

Tamaroa Grade School Dist #5 will have Remote Learning Days on Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Wednesday, Feb 17.

Trico CUSD 176 will have a traditional snow day on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Trinity Lutheran School Centralia – Snow day with no daycare.

Waltonville Community Unit School District 1 – No school on Tuesday, Feb. 16 due to inclement weather.

Schools will be closed for Frankfort Community Unit School District #168 in West Frankfort on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. There will be no in-person and no remote learning on Tuesday.

Woodlawn USD #209 – Closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 for a snow day.

Zeigler-Royalton CUSD 188 will utilize a Remote Learning Day on Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to hazardous road conditions. A reminder that with last Friday’s meal delivery we included meals for Tuesday, so there will not be breakfast/lunch delivery Tuesday.

 

Government:

A Tow Ban has been issued for Franklin County. Please do not travel unless it is absolutely necessary or an emergency.

Due to inclement weather, for the safety of our customers, Benton City Hall will be closed February 16, 2021.

Jackson County Health Dept. closed Tuesday. COVID Vaccination clinics postponed.

Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder will have limited services Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Due to anticipated worsening road conditions, sub-zero wind chills, and extreme cold, the City of Marion has decided in the best interest and safety of its employees and residents to close all public facilities again on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. That closure will affect the Marion Senior Citizens Center, Boyton Street Community Center, Marion Carnegie Library, the Hub Recreation Center, and City Hall. The Warming Center at 211 E. Boulevard will remain open. **PLEASE NOTE** The Pavilion will remain open as Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department will continue to operate the COVID-19 vaccine clinic.

The City of McLeansboro says there will be no trash pickup today (Monday 2/15) or tomorrow (Tuesday 2/16). Republic will evaluate the road conditions once the snow has stopped and will let us know their schedule. Stay tuned for updates.

The Mount Vernon township supervisors and assessors offices will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16.

This week’s Hamilton County Board meeting has been postponed until Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021.

The West City Village Hall will be closed Tuesday, Feb 16, 2021 due to the weather conditions.

Due to inclement weather, the Williamson County Courthouse and Williamson County Administrative Building will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

American Legion in Centralia will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

All Franklin County South Central Transportation bus services and routes will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16. This includes Olive Route, Ranger Route, Redbird Route, Public Demand Routes and BCMW. Note: BCMW routes are closed until Feb. 22, 2021.

Community Resources in Centralia, Salem, Vandalia and Carlyle will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Jefferson County South Central Transit Services will be cancelled for Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Marion Aisin Plants closed at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 15, 2021. On Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, first shift will resume on a 4-hour delay start time. Second and third shift report at normal time.

Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. 

Peoples National Bank all locations and corp centers will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Sunshine Center will be closed and there will be no meal delivery on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Comprehensive Connections will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The Hamilton County Senior Citizens Center in McLeansboro will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2021.
