MARION – Planning continues for the annual “Veterans on Parade” in Marion.
Ed Davis, President of the “Veterans on Parade” organization, says this is the 17th year for the parade and is being held on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, at The Pentagon and in Shanksville, PA.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 on Main Street and end at the Williamson County Fairgrounds.
Davis says not only are they seeking veterans and first responders to be in the parade, but they are also looking for medical personnel to get involved.
A memorial ceremony will be held following the parade at the fairgrounds to honor all veterans, first responders, medical personnel, 9/11 heroes, and most importantly those men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our great country.
If you would like to participate in this year’s parade, contact Ed Davis at 314-375-7170, 618-967-9415 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also find more information on the Veterans on Parade Facebook page.
