BENTON – Two members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office – Lt. Kevin Roye and Deputy Jared Anthis – recently received recognition from the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM) for their exceptional DUI enforcement.
Every year hundreds of people are killed and thousands are injured as a result of alcohol or drug related crashes in Illinois. It only takes seconds to become a victim without warning or choice. Impaired drivers make choices. They choose their weapons – vehicles and alcohol or drugs.
AAIM conducts an annual DUI survey of over 700 Illinois police agencies. As a result of this survey, Lt. Roye and Deputy Anthis have been identified by AAIM as “TOP COPS” in DUI enforcement.
Chief Deputy Kyle Bacon says the sheriff’s office is thankful for their service to the citizens of Franklin County and are happy to recognize them for their hard work and dedication to public safety.
