Snakes Alive! at the Rend Lake Visitor Center

BENTON, IL – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake will host “Snakes Alive!” on Saturday, September 4th at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. in the Rend Lake Visitor Center. This program will feature the snakes that reside at the Rend Lake Visitor Center.

Visitors to Rend Lake have likely seen these slithery creatures in their homes behind glass. During this program, the audience can expect to see the live snakes up close and personal! Learn the tales of the snakes that call Rend Lake home and why it is important to keep snakes alive! As always, the Environmental Science Series programs are accessible, free, and family friendly. Face coverings are required while inside the Rend Lake Visitor Center.
