MT. VERNON – A 51-year-old Marion man was injured Monday morning in a single vehicle crash on Richview Road in Jefferson County.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by Danny Riley apparently ran off the north side of the road, continued down a roadside ditch, struck a driveway and went airborne before rolling several times with the car coming to rest on its top.
Firefighters with the Jefferson Fire Protection District had to free Riley from his vehicle.
Litton’s Ambulance took Riley to the Logan Street Baptist Church parking lot where he was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
