Sesser to Use EPA Forgiveness Grant for Smart Water Meters and Water Lines

SESSER – The City of Sesser has received a $400,000 EPA loan forgiveness grant to start its next project which will include new smart water meters and new water lines from the four-way along Franklin Street to Poplar Street.

According to a post on the City of Sesser’s Facebook page, the new water meters will reduce reading meters from approximately three weeks to just a matter of hours reducing fuel consumption, saving taxpayer money and helping our environment. New water lines will continue the city’s investment in its infrastructure for households and businesses.
