MARION – State Senator Dale Fowler is pleased to announce the addition of traveling office hours during this year’s Southern Illinois Made Expo slated for July 22 and 23 at the City of Marion Pavilion.

“Hundreds of people from across the 59th District will visit Marion for this incredible event, and we look at this as a perfect opportunity to be readily available and easily accessible to anyone needing help with a state government related issue,” said Senator Fowler. “My office handles several constituent requests each day, and this is a great opportunity for us to come to you, versus you coming to us.”

Senator Fowler and his staff will be located outside the entrance to the expo to hear citizens’ concerns, answer questions and provide information on several issues.

“After visiting with my staff, I encourage everyone to attend the Southern Illinois Made Expo where more than 100 vendors from right here in southern Illinois, will be on display, showcasing their unique products and tasty treats,” said Fowler. “We will also have several fun activities for children including face painting, a balloon artist and so much more.”

Office hours will run throughout the event, taking place on July 22 and 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. just outside the Pavilion located at 1602 Sioux Drive in Marion.
