NORRIS CITY – Lane reductions will begin Monday, weather permitting, for road construction on US 45 south of Illinois 14 in Norris City.
According to IDOT, work includes 8.2 miles of patching, milling and resurfacing along US 45 from Illinois 14 to Illinois 1. The contractor will also be working on sidewalks in Norris City.
You should reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution when traveling through this area. Work is expected to last several months. To avoid any delays, you should seek an alternate route. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the work zone as quickly as possible.
