BENTON – The St. Louis District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its partners will hold a dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for the new North Marcum Archery Complex and Rend Lake Mountain Bike Trail at Rend Lake Friday.
It will start at 10 a.m. at 11577 Marcum Branch Road in Benton.
Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District Commander Col. Kevin Golinghorst will honor the 16 national, regional and local partners who have come together with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake to make this project possible. Key partners include Rend Lake College, the Rend Lake Conservancy District, Rend Lake Bike Club, Union Sportsmen’s Alliance and Scholastic 3D Archery.
Col. Golinghorst will dedicate the new North Marcum Archery Complex which consists of an accessible competition range, elevated shooting platform, and 3-D archery trail. He will also dedicate the five trails completed for the new Rend Lake Mountain Bike Trail. Lastly, the Commander will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony with the partners to open the facilities.
