Fire Hydrant Flushing in Carmi Begins September 19

CARMI – The City of Carmi will begin its fire hydrant flushing on Monday, Sept. 19.              Flushing will occur nightly, Monday through Thursday, from 1 to 5 a.m. The process should take approximately 3 weeks. CARBONDALE, Ill. — With its largest class of new freshmen in six years, Southern Illinois University Carbondale has enjoyed a second year of stable enrollment, totaling 11,107, just 1.4% lower than 2021.
