Mexico Felon Arrested for Disturbance at Ina Dollar General

INA – An arrest was made Monday afternoon on a report of a subject trespassing and causing a disturbance at the Ina Dollar General Store.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the store at 4:21 p.m. Monday and prior to their arrival, the suspect reportedly boarded a Union Pacific train, which was heading northbound. Sheriff’s Office personnel notified Union Pacific Railroad, who stopped the train and requested assistance locating the suspect. It was then reported the suspect entered the Bonnie Café. Deputies then made contact with the suspect, who at first provided a false name.

During the initial contact and investigation, the subject, later identified as 38-year-old Pedro C. Rocha of Mexico, was found to be in illegal possession of a handgun. He was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

He was charged with trespassing and possession of a firearm by a felon and incarcerated with bond to be set by a judge.
