CARMI – A McLeansboro man was sentenced Monday in White County Court in Carmi on meth charges.
According to White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud, 35-year-old Micheal Doogan will spend four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a 2018 charge of Possession of Methamphetamine – a Class 3 Felony.
Doogan will also serve four years in IDOC on a 2021 charge of Possession of Methamphetamine – a Class 3 felony.
Aud says Doogan was on probation on a methamphetamine case from 2018 when he was arrested on a new methamphetamine case in 2021. His probation in his 2018 case was revoked with a new sentence entered in the 2018 case and the new 2021 case. The sentences were ordered to run concurrently with one another.
The Carmi Police Department was the arresting agency in both cases.
