MARION – The Marion Unit 2 School District says it will resume a regular schedule and full in-person learning on Aug. 11, the first day of the new school year.
This announcement was made at this week’s school board meeting and posted on the school district’s Facebook page.
As for masks, the district has adopted an optional mask policy. The mask policy may change at any given time based on building, local and regional circumstances. Masks must be worn by all students who ride a bus to school as this is a CDC mandate/special rule.
Social distancing will be implemented as much as possible in classrooms and where students are gathered. The district says this may not always be possible.
The district is excited to welcome students back to school for a regular schedule and will work collaboratively with local and regional officials in keeping safety first for students, staff and community members.
