Marion Police Seeking More Information into Recent Home Invasion

MARION – Marion Police continue to investigate a home invasion that allegedly happened in the early morning hours of April 3 in the area of North Granite and West Stockton streets.

When officers arrived they spoke to a female victim who described a male suspect she did not know who had made entry into her home via an open window. The male was armed with a knife and threatened to physically harm the victim. The victim was physically harmed during the incident but did not require hospitalization.

Police are asking anyone to call and provide them with information on any suspicious persons or vehicles seen in the area between 11 p.m. on April 2 and 4 a.m. on April 3.

The area has also been canvassed, but if anyone also has video surveillance showing recorded vehicles or pedestrians during the stated timeframe and has not yet been contacted by the Marion Police Department, should contact the Marion PD Investigative Unit at 993-2124.

No further information will be forthcoming from Marion Police at this time.
