Marion Police Release Results from ‘Directed Patrol’ Detail

MARION – The Marion Police Department Narcotics Unit Monday orchestrated a “Directed Patrol” in conjunction with the MPD Patrol Division and Canine Unit. The directed patrol focused on narcotics interdiction, alcohol and traffic enforcement within the City of Marion.

The detail took place between 5 p.m. and 12 a.m. It resulted in 13 arrests and 6 additionally cited persons. The array of charges include Delivery of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Providing Alcohol to a Minor, Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle – Scott’s Law, Unnecessary Noise, Driving While License Suspended and No Valid Insurance.
