MARION – A man is facing a gun charge after Marion Police went to Pookie’s Beer, Burgers and Bocce on North Madison Street early Sunday morning regarding a shots fired complaint.
According to Marion Police, when officers arrived around 12:07 a.m., they found witnesses who said two or three male subjects had been involved in a fight. The dispute continued onto the parking lot, resulting in a firearm being discharged. All subjects involved in the altercation fled the scene prior to police arrival. Officers were able to collect evidence and multiple witness statements while on scene.
Fifty-three-year-old Louis L. Gaston was determined to be a person of interest, relative to the discharged firearm. Gaston later responded to the Marion Police Department and an interview was conducted with officers. Upon completion of the interview Gaston was placed under arrest.
Gaston was issued citations for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and conveyed to the Williamson County Jail, awaiting his first appearance in court.
